生物矿化 (Biomineralization),口腔材料 (Dental Materials),仿生生物材料 (Biomimetic Biomaterials),组织工程 (Tissue Engineering)
近年来主要从事纳米技术在牙科领域的应用研究,致力于研究牙釉质正常及病理状态下生物矿化机制, 侧重于理解蛋白质对牙釉质矿物晶体的成核和生长调控过程,揭示龋病、氟牙症的病因机制。通过引入纳米科学所发展的新方法和技术分析和重建牙釉质的结构,实现牙釉质缺损后的非细胞组织再生。主要研究成果包括:(1)率先采用人工合成蛋白纳米探针揭示了牙釉质蛋白与牙釉质纳米晶棒的作用机制。(2)提出基于氟离子在牙釉质表面富集造成釉质晶体粗糙度增加进而影响釉质发育形成的氟牙症病因新机制。(3)在国际上率先提出并初步实现非细胞人工合成牙釉质微结构。所合成的类釉质结构被美国NIH/NIDCR 选作为2005 年11 月7, 8 日举行的“产品开发之路”(Pathways to Product Development)的会议标志(logo/branding for the meeting),并在牙科2006 年国际年会“最新研究进展新闻专题”(late breaking news session)口头报告了该研究成果。专利受到美国诸多大公司的关注。关于这一方面的工作Advanced Materials等杂志社专门以新闻题材的方式作了介绍,并受到美国、德国、英国、法国等多家媒体报道。
