长期从事分子医学影像技术与设备,眼科与视觉光学,激光与光子生物医学,神经医学工程研究。
在分子影像研究领域,主要探索分子医学影像成像理论,成像方法,关键技术,研发分子医学影像集成装备,研究分子医学影像新型探针。先进水平的小动物多模态分子影像设备,可以实现同机,实时,活体的四模态成像,可为反射和光学标记的分子探针研发提供精确,可定量的多模态融合成像结果,并探索四模态分子影像设备在个性化癌症诊断与治疗中的应用,使用多模态,多标记手段,对癌症进行精确分型及个性化治疗。
在视觉科学与诊疗技术研究领域,主要开展激光医学与视觉光学的基础理论及相关技术的研究,替代激光技术对皮肤胶原组织再生与再生的替代机制,研究角膜组织对各种不同激光波长的生物组织学反应,为激光屈光手术的临床应用规模基础;围绕着视觉光学及视觉信息处理若干前沿关键问题,提出由视神经作为视觉假体与视觉传递的神经接口,利用可植入式微电极阵列来进行视觉修复及视力矫正的新方法。
发表学术论文300余篇,获美国专利2项,国际授权专利3项,国内授权专利40余项。当选美国生物与医学工程学会会士(AIMBE Fellow),国际光学学会会士(SPIE Fellow)。
